Simeon Career Academy Juniors at Museica
The Simeon Alumni Association shared this story after SCA Juniors visited Museica's Sip & Paint — a day of color, creativity, and connection.

November 2025 · Simeon Career Academy Juniors
"This wasn't just a paint day. It was a moment of bonding, self-expression, and celebration for our young leaders."
As shared by the Simeon Alumni Association:
On a crisp fall day, the Simeon Career Academy Juniors stepped into a world of color, laughter, and artistic expression at Museica's Sip & Paint — a local gem known for blending music, art, and community vibes.
With brushes in hand and canvases before them, the Juniors explored their creativity while enjoying a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that encouraged joy and connection. The Junior class spoke with Museica founder, Jessica Rodriguez, about her experiences following her passion for art and founding a small business.
Our students had an insightful conversation and then got to paint, discovering the value of creative expression, being adaptable, and "trusting the process." From bold strokes to quiet reflections, each painting told a story — and each student left with more than just a canvas. They left with memories, confidence, and a deeper sense of belonging to the Simeon family.
Why It Matters
Events like these are part of our commitment to empowering students through experiences that blend culture, creativity, and community. Special thanks to Museica's team for hosting with warmth and style, and to our Junior Committee for organizing an unforgettable evening. These experiences don't just build memories — they build leaders.

What Schools Are Saying
Testimonials
"Jessica and Amazing Ladies, First of all, thank you so much for opening up your home to us. Because it really did feel like a home. It was so warm and inviting. The students were so engaged and interested in their paintings that I think that they forgot that there was a pool table. Which was what they were talking about when they were voting to come to your event. When we had voted the students said that they voted because of the colors that stood out in your room. And we can feel that when we came in. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. Thank you for making yesterday a huge success."
Ms. Laadimi — Bogan High School
"I am grateful for Ms. Jessica not giving up on my painting and constantly encouraging me and keeping all of us engaged. Thank you for the beautiful and very meaningful experience."
Danna — Bogan High School
"I would like to thank you for allowing us to come into your space and for allowing us to use your materials to express our creativity. This is the creative freedom we lack in a regular school day, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Once again, thank you for the great experience."
Rosen Lewis — Bogan High School
"Thank you for creating a relaxing environment for my classmates and I. I loved to be able to explore my creative side and talk to people who are more artistic than me, so it created a good space for comfort."
Yaritza Perez — Bogan High School
"I helped plan a 25 person event here for school and Jessica & her team were incredible!! They were so easy to work with and extremely accommodating in our tight scheduling / needing to adjust the painting. We also had people that were running late from class and Jessica made sure that everyone was set up, doing well, and having fun. On top of all of that, the store itself was designed in a very fun way; my personal favorite piece was the "girl boss" on the wall. The back of the location had selfie walls and games for people to engage in post-painting. I had an amazing time and hope to be back for another event soon!! I would highly recommend this experience for both small and large groups. Thank you Jessica!!"
Chandler L. — Yelp Review
"Came here with a school group for a paint and sip night with 25 other girls. The ladies here are super nice and also amazing artists. They were so attentive throughout our event and made sure we all had everything we needed. I would highly recommend them for a future girls night, date night, school event, or any occasion really! Painting is so relaxing, and especially so at Museica!"
